MENTAL TOUGHNESS – SQUAT
Intention: This weeks focus is connecting glutes to the core. Stacking the rib cage over the pelvis. Tuck the tailbone and pull the bottom of the rib cage down into the pelvis.
Prep: ankle, calf, knee and hip mobility. Hammy, glute, chest and quad activation. Prep for explosive movements.
A1) BB Back Squat (to target) x 6-8 @3110
A2) Hamstring walk outs x 10-12
B) 2 x AMRAP 8
** Increase the second exercise by 2 reps each round, the first exercise is always 10 reps.
** get the athletes to set up a push up incline/box/bands that they can stick with for the whole 8 mins.
** Practice hangs clean and thruster before starting AMRAP.

– DB hang clean x 10
– Push up x 2 (increase by 2 each round)
Rest 2 mins
2. AMRAP 8
– DB thrusters x 10
– DB overhead sit ups x 2 (increase by 2 each round)
