Mental Toughness – Squat
Intention: Practice getting to depth in your heavy 5 sets of 5 reps, use the tempo to help hold tension at the bottom. These should all be at the same heavy weight. (85% of 1RM) Beginners 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps, using tempo and squatting to a target.
Prep: Squat mobility, Glute and abdominal activation together, pelvic floor awareness in the lift. Start warming up the back squat with BB to be ready to go into the first set.
A1) BB Back Squat 5 X 5 at 3110
Rest 2-3 min
B) 10, 9. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Ring rows
Ski Jumps each side eg. 20,18,16,14 etc
Hand release knee Push ups
C) Roxanne by the police –
hold a plank until they say roxanne,
change to half squat hold, until they say roxanne
change to quadruped hold.
