We get it, gyms can be really intimidating. Which is why Strong Women Can has a ‘community first’ approach. Our community is the best thing about SWC, we support and champion one another, we ensure a judgment free zone, and we have a large variety of ages, body types, and experience levels. No one here cares if you can lift 1kg or 100kgs, they just want to see you progress.

Anything that you feel comfortable training in (there are no Instagram models here!).  Just make sure that your clothes don’t restrict your movement.

Absolutely not.  Remember, you are coming to get fit, not because you are already fit! Many women join us having never stepped foot in a gym before. Others are returning after a break (long or short) from exercise, and some come from a sports or gym background. We are experts at adjusting your training sessions based on your level of experience.

Teaching safe and efficient technique lies at the heart of what we do. We do provide a movement screen for everyone who is interested in group training to ensure that they are put into an environment which sets them up to thrive. If there is any movement that you need help with, we will teach you the movement before loading it with weight as we want to avoid injury.

For optimal results, we recommend attending a minimum of 2-3 sessions per week, 4-5 sessions a week will bring you faster results, but is not necessary. Consistency and sustainability is key for ultimate, long term success.

Yes, we offer personal training with experienced, highly knowledgeable coaches who tailor sessions to your unique goals. We focus on strength, functional movement, women’s health issues, event/sport focused training, and overall health and well-being.

SWC is a women-only gym. We are a safe and supportive space for anyone who identifies as a woman to train confidently without feeling self-conscious.

Yes to all of the above! We combine strength training, cardio, functional movement, and nutrition guidance for a holistic approach to health and fitness. More importantly, our programs are designed to help women build and maintain muscle mass and bone density for their health and longevity.

We offer a variety of small group classes throughout the week, including early morning and evening options, to fit around busy schedules. Check our class timetable online for up-to-date details, you’ll find it near the bottom of our ‘Small Group Training’ page.

Currently, we don’t offer child care services. However, many of our members find our class times convenient for working around family life.

Yes, we offer a number of different options for nutrition guidance to complement your fitness journey. This includes personalised advice, group programs, and online content to help you fuel your workouts and achieve your health goals, ensuring a balanced approach to both fitness and nutrition.

Our coaches are skilled in working with members who have injuries or health conditions. We provide modifications to exercises, ensuring a safe and effective workout that suits your needs. While of course it is case dependent, we can provide a more detailed response to this in your free consultation.
